This vintage ring is adorned with delicate butterfly motifs, each bordered in gold and brought to life through the age-old art of cloisonné. A traditional enamelling technique, cloisonné involves using fine metal wires to create tiny compartments (cloisons in French), which are then filled with vibrant coloured enamels and carefully fired — a slow, intricate process that results in jewel-like surfaces full of depth and light.

This is the first cloisonné ring to be introduced to flemington vintage in nearly a year, making it a particularly rare and coveted find within our collection. The butterfly’s crimson wings stand out elegantly against a deep black backdrop, offering a quiet strength and grace.
