時を超えて愛されてきたロマンティックなモチーフ、カメオ。こちらのヴィンテージネックレスは、繊細にフロスト加工されたガラスのカメオが魅力的な一品です。

白く霞んだ横顔が、深いブラックの背景に浮かび上がり、まるで静謐な絵画のよう。縁取りには、ゴールドトーンのメタルとエナメルが使われていると推測され、クラシカルなムードをより一層引き立てています。

チェーンは、やさしくきらめくツイストスタイル。細めながら存在感があり、ペンダントトップとのバランスも絶妙です。経年によりまろやかに艶を帯びたゴールドメタルの風合いが、全体に深みを与えています。

おそらく1960年代後半〜70年代頃のものと考えられる本作は、ヴィンテージならではの気品とぬくもりを持ちつつ、今の装いにも自然に馴染む仕上がり。ブラウスやワンピースに重ねて日常の装いに、あるいは肌に直接合わせて、夕暮れ時の少し特別な時間に。さりげなくも印象的なアクセントを添えてくれます。

このネックレスと出会ったのは、緑に囲まれた郊外にある、チャーチの建物を使ったコレクターショップ。広々とした店内にはショーケースが並び、ジュエリー、バッグ、食器、本、花瓶、靴などがぎっしりと並んでいます。訪れるのはほとんどが年配の女性たち。中でも、70代のスタッフの方とは親しくさせていただいており、ジュエリーの話やお手入れのコツなどを教えてもらうのがいつも楽しみです。

このネックレスは、ヴィンテージのレース手袋やレザーポーチの隣にそっと置かれていました。まるで、時を超えて私たちに語りかけてくるかのような、静かな輝きを湛えたカメオ。ふたたび誰かの胸元で、物語を紡いでくれることでしょう。

Likely originating from the late 1960s to 1970s, this piece carries a distinctly nostalgic air while still feeling wearable today. This necklace was sourced from a charming suburban church-run collector’s shop surrounded by trees and quiet roads. Inside, rows of display cabinets hold an eclectic mix of silver jewellery, vintage handbags, crockery, and small treasures. Most of the patrons and volunteers are older women, some of whom have been curating and collecting for decades. One dear staff member in her seventies, a lifelong jewellery enthusiast, always shares wonderful cleaning tips and stories from her collection.

We discovered this necklace in a vintage jewellery box beside lace gloves and soft leather pouches — nestled like a forgotten heirloom. The detail in the cameo and its luminous aura made it clear: this piece needed to be seen again.

昨年からはオーストラリア北部の街で過ごす時間が長くなり、これまであまり馴染みのなかったこの地域のマーケットを巡るようになりました。まるで探検のようでもあり、フィールドワークのようでもあり・・。次々と新しい出会いに恵まれ、驚くほどの速さで発見が積み重なっていった日々でした。

早朝の澄んだ空気のなかで開かれるもの、森に囲まれた小さなもの、にぎわいの中にぽつんと現れる静かなヴィンテージの屋台——何度も足を運ぶうちに、どの場所にどんな出会いがあるのか、少しずつ肌で感じられるようになってきました。

そんな日々のなかで見つけたものたちを、ようやくみなさまにご紹介できる機会が整いました。

ここ１ヶ月は、いつものようにマーケットを巡りながら、その様子をこのInstagramのストーリーズやライブ配信、投稿、リール動画を通して、少しずつお届けしてきました。見つけたアイテムだけでなく、その背景や空気感、どんなふうに惹かれて手に取ったのかまで、なるべく丁寧にお伝えしようとつとめてまいりました。

仕入れた品はひとつひとつ手で磨き、整えながら、その過程や、スタイリングの提案、そして個人的に特に心に残ったお気に入りのご紹介などもさせていただきました。そして、この1か月の記録の集大成として6月に見つけたアイテムが、ささやかな物語とともに並びます。どのようにして、ひとつのジュエリーが"誰かの宝物"になっていくのか——その過程そのものを、みなさまと分かち合えたら嬉しいです。

Since last year, I’ve been spending more time a northern part of Australia—an area I hadn’t been very familiar with before. I began visiting local markets there, and the experience has felt part exploration, part fieldwork. One discovery led to another, and before I knew it, the days became a whirlwind of encounters and inspiration.

Some markets open in the crisp stillness of early morning, others are tucked away in forested corners, while quiet vintage stalls appear almost like a mirage amidst the bustle. With each visit, I started to get a sense—almost instinctively—of what kinds of treasures might be found in each place.

And now, I finally have the chance to share some of those finds with you.

Over the past month, I’ve continued my usual market visits while slowly documenting the journey through Instagram Stories, livestreams, posts, and reels. I’ve tried to share not just the items themselves, but the atmosphere behind them—the feeling of the moment I was drawn to each piece, and the story it carried.

Each item I sourced has been polished by hand and thoughtfully prepared. Along the way, I’ve also shared styling ideas and personal favourites that left a particular impression on me. And now, as a culmination of these weeks of exploration, the pieces I found in June are ready—presented here with their quiet stories. I hope to share not just the jewellery, but the very process of how a piece becomes someone’s treasure.
