スターリングシルバーのボディに、天然シェルのインレイが美しく施されたヴィンテージリング。幾何学的なフォルムの中に、ピンク、アイボリー、スカイブルーのやわらかな色彩が並び、静かに光を反射します。ほどよい艶感のあるシェルが、磨きすぎないことで深みを増したシルバーの地金と絶妙なコントラストを描き、どこか幻想的な雰囲気を漂わせています。

しっかりと厚みのあるつくりですが、指にのせたときの安定感は心地よく、重すぎることはありません。存在感はありつつも自然になじみ、デイリーにも使いやすい一本です。

デザインからみて、おそらく1970〜80年代のもの。ミッドセンチュリーモダンの流れを汲むような色面構成と、無駄のないフォルム。そこにシェルという自然素材を組み合わせることで、当時らしいモダンでオーガニックな感性が宿っています。装飾性よりもデザインの美しさを重視する方にこそ、手にしていただきたい一本です。

買い付けは、森やファームが続く田舎道沿いで毎週開催されているカーブーツマーケットにて。プロが並ぶマーケットとは違い、出店者はほとんどが個人。車でやって来て、ブーツ（後部）を開け、テーブルやブランケット、バンパーの上に並べて店をつくる、ゆるくて楽しい雰囲気です。

このリングは、以前からお世話になっているSさんから譲っていただきました。スカーフ姿が印象的な、まるでフェアリーゴッドマザーのような雰囲気のある素敵な女性。「昔はシルバージュエリーをたくさん集めてたけど、もうおばあちゃんになって着けなくなっちゃってね。試しに出してみようと思ったの」と、にっこり話してくださいました。ご自宅のあちこちから少しずつ見つけてきては、毎週少しずつ出品されていて、1970〜80年代のデザインが中心。ヒッピー調からミニマル、ちょっとエスニックなものまで、彼女の個人コレクションから届いた一品です。

他のミニマルなシルバーリングと重ねても、これ一つだけでも。やさしいパステルカラーと整ったフォルムが、日常の装いにさりげない彩りと洗練を添えてくれます。

We sourced this treasure at a rural car boot market held weekly along a country road lined with farms and forest. Unlike professional markets, most sellers here are individuals offering personal items from home. They pull up in their cars, open the boot, and create a makeshift stall — often with a table, blanket, or even just a tray balanced on the bumper. It’s in these relaxed, unpredictable settings that the most heartfelt finds often emerge.

This ring comes from the personal collection of Miss S — a warm, scarf-wrapped woman who reminded us of a fairy godmother. She once collected silver jewellery avidly, but told us, “Now that I’m a grandmother, I don’t wear it anymore — so I thought I’d try setting up a little stall.” Each week, she brings a few more pieces she’s rediscovered at home, many from the 1970s–80s. The variety is joyful: from hippie styles to refined minimalist designs, each ring feels like a page from her life’s scrapbook.

昨年からはオーストラリア北部の街で過ごす時間が長くなり、これまであまり馴染みのなかったこの地域のマーケットを巡るようになりました。まるで探検のようでもあり、フィールドワークのようでもあり・・。次々と新しい出会いに恵まれ、驚くほどの速さで発見が積み重なっていった日々でした。

早朝の澄んだ空気のなかで開かれるもの、森に囲まれた小さなもの、にぎわいの中にぽつんと現れる静かなヴィンテージの屋台——何度も足を運ぶうちに、どの場所にどんな出会いがあるのか、少しずつ肌で感じられるようになってきました。

そんな日々のなかで見つけたものたちを、ようやくみなさまにご紹介できる機会が整いました。

ここ１ヶ月は、いつものようにマーケットを巡りながら、その様子をこのInstagramのストーリーズやライブ配信、投稿、リール動画を通して、少しずつお届けしてきました。見つけたアイテムだけでなく、その背景や空気感、どんなふうに惹かれて手に取ったのかまで、なるべく丁寧にお伝えしようとつとめてまいりました。

仕入れた品はひとつひとつ手で磨き、整えながら、その過程や、スタイリングの提案、そして個人的に特に心に残ったお気に入りのご紹介などもさせていただきました。そして、この1か月の記録の集大成として6月に見つけたアイテムが、ささやかな物語とともに並びます。どのようにして、ひとつのジュエリーが"誰かの宝物"になっていくのか——その過程そのものを、みなさまと分かち合えたら嬉しいです。

Since last year, I’ve been spending more time a northern part of Australia—an area I hadn’t been very familiar with before. I began visiting local markets there, and the experience has felt part exploration, part fieldwork. One discovery led to another, and before I knew it, the days became a whirlwind of encounters and inspiration.

Some markets open in the crisp stillness of early morning, others are tucked away in forested corners, while quiet vintage stalls appear almost like a mirage amidst the bustle. With each visit, I started to get a sense—almost instinctively—of what kinds of treasures might be found in each place.

And now, I finally have the chance to share some of those finds with you.

Over the past month, I’ve continued my usual market visits while slowly documenting the journey through Instagram Stories, livestreams, posts, and reels. I’ve tried to share not just the items themselves, but the atmosphere behind them—the feeling of the moment I was drawn to each piece, and the story it carried.

Each item I sourced has been polished by hand and thoughtfully prepared. Along the way, I’ve also shared styling ideas and personal favourites that left a particular impression on me. And now, as a culmination of these weeks of exploration, the pieces I found in June are ready—presented here with their quiet stories. I hope to share not just the jewellery, but the very process of how a piece becomes someone’s treasure.
