指先と耳元を、小さな庭園のように彩る一点。

こちらはオーストリアの伝統工芸「プチポワン（Petit Point）」技法を用いた
ヴィンテージのリングとフープピアス。

プチポワンは、
17〜18世紀ヨーロッパで発展した極小の刺繍技法。
とりわけオーストリアでは、
ウィーン工芸の流れを汲みながら、
花模様を緻密に織り上げる装身具として広まりました。

極細の糸を一点一点刺し、
絵画のように花を描く。
遠目には一枚の絵のように見えますが、
近づくと無数の細かなステッチの集合であることがわかります。

今回のリングは、
モチーフが途切れることなく一周するオールアラウンド（エタニティ仕様）。
この仕様は制作工程が複雑で、
ヴィンテージ市場でも流通量が限られています。

フープスタイルのピアスも同様に、
円環全体に刺繍が施されています。
途切れない柄は、
静かでありながら確かな存在感。

flemington vintage では過去にもプチポワンをご紹介してきましたが、
エタニティリングとフープピアスの同時ご紹介は数年ぶりとなります。

プチポワンはコットンテキスタイル仕様であるため、
湿度や摩耗の影響を受けやすい素材。
そのため、状態の良いヴィンテージ個体は年々減少傾向にあります。

色の発色が保たれ、
刺繍のほつれや大きな摩耗が見られない本個体は、
現在では貴重なコンディション。

単なる可憐な装飾ではなく、
ヨーロッパ刺繍文化を身につける感覚。

コレクターズアイテムとしても評価の高いカテゴリーです。

This vintage ring and hoop earrings set features the traditional Austrian Petit Point embroidery technique.

Petit Point developed in Europe during the 17th–18th centuries,
and became especially refined in Austria,
where intricate floral needlework was incorporated into jewellery.

Each motif is created stitch by stitch using extremely fine thread.
From a distance, it resembles a painted surface;
up close, it reveals countless precise stitches.

The ring is designed in a full all-the-way-around (eternity style) format.
This continuous embroidery construction is technically demanding
and comparatively less common in vintage examples.

The hoop earrings follow the same principle,
with embroidery extending around the circular form.

flemington vintage has introduced Petit Point pieces before,
but it has been several years since we have presented
both an eternity-style ring and hoop earrings in this condition.

As Petit Point uses cotton textile,
it is sensitive to humidity and wear.
Well-preserved vintage examples are becoming increasingly difficult to source.

The colours remain vibrant,
and the stitching shows minimal fraying—
a notable condition for textile-based jewellery.

Beyond decorative charm,
this represents a wearable fragment of European needlework heritage.

Highly regarded among collectors of textile jewellery.
