プチポワンは刺繍の一種で、１８世紀のウィーンで編み出されました。昔から手工芸が盛んなウィーンですが、中でも伝統ある刺繍の技術は時が経つとともにますます洗練されていき、目の細かいステッチ刺繍として”プチポワン”が生まれました。”小さな針”を意味するこの技法は、2.5cm平方にあたり900~3500針にも達します。また、刺繍にはありとあらゆる種類の色糸が使われ、実に美しい色のハーモニーが描かれています。エスプリのきいたウィーンの街を象徴する伝統工芸品、それがプチポワンです。

この度ご紹介するMaria Stranskyはウィーンの老舗プチポワンジュエリーブランドです。1932年依頼、ウィーンの工房でプチポワンの芸術の発展、デザイン、制作に携わってきました。
今回はプチポワンリングをご用意いたしました。この繊細な技法で描いたローズを中心としたクラシカルなデザイン。シンプルなフレームとシャンクは上質のシルバー925を使用。ヴィンテージライクな深みのあるゴールド18KGPでコーティングされ、プチポワンの芸術性を一層引き立てます。
