繊細な線で縁取られた、やわらかなイエロートーンの蝶。
中央には落ち着いたグレイッシュブルーの胴体。
翅の一枚一枚に、細やかな装飾がほどこされています。

こちらは フランス製のヴィンテージ・クロワゾネ ブローチ。
裏面には “France” の刻印が確認できます。

クロワゾネは、
細い金属線で文様の輪郭をつくり、
その区画ごとに釉薬を流し込み、高温で焼成を重ねる技法。
焼成後に表面を研磨し、
金属線と釉薬面がなめらかに揃えられます。

このブローチでは、
蝶の輪郭だけでなく、翅の内部まで
極細のメタルラインが丁寧に配されています。
線のゆらぎがほとんどなく、
曲線が自然に連続している点からも、
高度な職人技がうかがえます。

さらに、
色の重なり方にも注目したい一点です。
イエローの濃淡、
やわらかな乳白のニュアンス、
縁のボルドーに近いブラウンのライン。
単色ではなく、
微妙なグラデーションが重ねられています。

フランスのクロワゾネは、
色の繊細さと装飾バランスにおいて特に評価が高く、
重厚になりすぎない優雅さを持つとされています。

裏面のメタルワークも美しく、
植物のような透かし模様が全面に施されています。
見えない部分にまで意匠が行き届いていることが、

This is a vintage cloisonné brooch made in France,
marked “France” on the reverse.

Cloisonné is a traditional enamelling technique in which thin metal wires are shaped into compartments (cloisons),
filled with enamel, fired multiple times at high temperatures,
then polished to create a smooth, unified surface.

In this piece,
the metal wires define not only the outer silhouette of the butterfly,
but also the intricate internal patterns of the wings.
The precision of the curves and the steadiness of the lines
reflect skilled craftsmanship.

The colour layering is particularly refined.
Soft yellows shift in tone,
subtle milky highlights emerge within the enamel,
and the edges are framed in a warm burgundy-brown.

French cloisonné is often admired for its balance—
ornamental yet restrained,
elegant without heaviness.

Even the reverse side reveals careful metalwork,
with an openwork floral pattern that speaks to attention beyond the visible surface.
