このイヤリングを選んだ理由は、
装飾の重なりが生む“奥行き”に、時間の重みを感じたからです。

花のように重なり合うゴールドトーンのレイヤー。

裏側に刻まれた D’Orlan の名。
1950年代にカナダ・モントリオールで創業したD’Orlanは、
当時のハイジュエリーの技法や美意識を、
コスチュームジュエリーの世界に持ち込んだ稀有なブランドです。
立体的な構造、陰影を意識した造形、
そして“永く美しくあること”を前提としたつくり。
このイヤリングにも、その思想が静かに息づいています。

What drew me to these earrings was the sense of depth created through layering.

Petal-like forms overlap in warm gold tones, each element delicate on its own.
Together, they create a quiet presence — never loud, yet unmistakably assured.
At the centre, a costume pearl adds not sweetness, but composure and grace.

The name D’Orlan is engraved on the reverse.
Founded in Montreal in the 1950s, D’Orlan was known for bringing the techniques and sensibility of fine jewellery into the world of costume jewellery.
Sculptural construction, attention to shadow and dimension,
and a belief that beauty should endure over time —
all are evident in this piece.

When worn, the earrings feel calmer than their design suggests.
