まるで時を超えて、そっと語りかけてくるような気品をたたえた、アール・ヌーヴォー風ヴィンテージブローチ。中央にはやわらかく艶めくオーバル型のフェイクパールがひと粒。その両側には、繊細なシードパールが丁寧に並べられ、左右対称ながらも静かなリズムを感じさせる、優美なデザインです。

スリムで細身のシルエットは、装いにそっと寄り添うような存在感。ブラウスやニットに添えるのはもちろん、バッグのストラップや帽子などにピン留めすれば、ヴィンテージならではの味わいをほんのりと添えてくれます。ヴィンテージゴールドのメタル部分は、時を経たことでやわらかく深みのある色合いに。長い年月、大切にされてきた証ともいえる風合いです。

制作年代は1950〜60年代頃と推定され、当時再注目されていたアール・ヌーヴォーの意匠が、コスチュームジュエリーの中でも美しく表現されていた時代。この素材と造形の組み合わせは希少で、コレクターズピースとしてもおすすめの逸品です。

このブローチと出会ったのは、緑の多い郊外の住宅街にある、チャーチスタイルのコレクター向けチャリティショップ。広々とした道路に大きな木が立ち並び、やわらかな光が差し込むような、穏やかな場所にあります。

店内にはシルバージュエリー、食器、古書、ハンドバッグ、靴、花瓶などが並び、スタッフもお客さまもほとんどが優しいおばあさまたち。中でも仲良くさせていただいているスタッフの方は70代で、ヴィンテージジュエリーに深い愛と知識を持つ方。お掃除や保管のコツをいつも惜しみなく教えてくださいます。

このブローチは、そんな店内のヴィンテージジュエリーボックスの中で、同時代のハンドバッグや手袋、髪飾りと一緒に並べられていました。繊細で気品のある佇まいに、思わず心を奪われ、今回のコレクションに加えました。

クラシックなブラウスやテーラードパンツに合わせて知的な雰囲気に、またはベルベットリボンに通して襟元に飾れば、ロマンティックなアクセントにも。特別な日にも、日々のなかのささやかな煌めきとしても、そっと寄り添ってくれる一点です。

An exquisite piece that whispers of another time — this vintage bar brooch features a delicate, Art Nouveau–inspired design, where fluid lines and nature-inspired forms come together in graceful harmony. This brooch was sourced from a collectors’ charity shop tucked away in a leafy suburb with wide roads and gentle light filtering through the trees. The shop itself is housed in a church building, lined with glass display cabinets filled with silver jewellery, vintage handbags, shoes, ceramics, books, and more. Most of the staff and customers are elderly women — many of them collectors themselves — and we’ve grown close to one lovely lady in her 70s who always shares care tips or restoration secrets when we visit.

We discovered this brooch resting inside a vintage jewellery box, surrounded by era-matching handbags, gloves, and hair ornaments — as if waiting quietly for its next story. Its delicacy and poise made it an easy piece to curate into our collection.

Pair it with a classic blouse and tailored trousers for a sophisticated daytime look, or pin it onto a velvet ribbon and wear it at the collar for a romantic twist. Whether worn daily or saved for special moments, it brings a graceful nod to the past into the now.

昨年からはオーストラリア北部の街で過ごす時間が長くなり、これまであまり馴染みのなかったこの地域のマーケットを巡るようになりました。まるで探検のようでもあり、フィールドワークのようでもあり・・。次々と新しい出会いに恵まれ、驚くほどの速さで発見が積み重なっていった日々でした。

早朝の澄んだ空気のなかで開かれるもの、森に囲まれた小さなもの、にぎわいの中にぽつんと現れる静かなヴィンテージの屋台——何度も足を運ぶうちに、どの場所にどんな出会いがあるのか、少しずつ肌で感じられるようになってきました。

そんな日々のなかで見つけたものたちを、ようやくみなさまにご紹介できる機会が整いました。

ここ１ヶ月は、いつものようにマーケットを巡りながら、その様子をこのInstagramのストーリーズやライブ配信、投稿、リール動画を通して、少しずつお届けしてきました。見つけたアイテムだけでなく、その背景や空気感、どんなふうに惹かれて手に取ったのかまで、なるべく丁寧にお伝えしようとつとめてまいりました。

仕入れた品はひとつひとつ手で磨き、整えながら、その過程や、スタイリングの提案、そして個人的に特に心に残ったお気に入りのご紹介などもさせていただきました。そして、この1か月の記録の集大成として6月に見つけたアイテムが、ささやかな物語とともに並びます。どのようにして、ひとつのジュエリーが"誰かの宝物"になっていくのか——その過程そのものを、みなさまと分かち合えたら嬉しいです。

Since last year, I’ve been spending more time a northern part of Australia—an area I hadn’t been very familiar with before. I began visiting local markets there, and the experience has felt part exploration, part fieldwork. One discovery led to another, and before I knew it, the days became a whirlwind of encounters and inspiration.

Some markets open in the crisp stillness of early morning, others are tucked away in forested corners, while quiet vintage stalls appear almost like a mirage amidst the bustle. With each visit, I started to get a sense—almost instinctively—of what kinds of treasures might be found in each place.

And now, I finally have the chance to share some of those finds with you.

Over the past month, I’ve continued my usual market visits while slowly documenting the journey through Instagram Stories, livestreams, posts, and reels. I’ve tried to share not just the items themselves, but the atmosphere behind them—the feeling of the moment I was drawn to each piece, and the story it carried.

Each item I sourced has been polished by hand and thoughtfully prepared. Along the way, I’ve also shared styling ideas and personal favourites that left a particular impression on me. And now, as a culmination of these weeks of exploration, the pieces I found in June are ready—presented here with their quiet stories. I hope to share not just the jewellery, but the very process of how a piece becomes someone’s treasure.
