上品さと存在感が共存する、静かな美しさをたたえたヴィンテージイヤリング。

静かな光を宿す、なめらかなティアドロップ型のコスチュームパールは、動くたびにそっと揺れて、耳元に優雅なリズムを添えます。甘すぎない穏やかな光沢が、スタイリングに自然な洗練をプラスしてくれます。

上部には、リッチなトーンのヴィンテージゴールドメタルが抽象的なカーブを描き、アール・デコを想起させる構築的なフォルムが特徴的。直線と曲線のバランスが美しく、まるで建築のようにしっかりとした存在感を持ちながらも、女性らしい柔らかさを感じさせるデザインです。

さらに嬉しいのが、イヤリングのトップ部分の構造。多くのクリップ式イヤリングがずれやすかったり、左右非対称に見えたりする中で、こちらはきちんと左右の角度やカーブが計算されており、装着時に美しい対称性が生まれます。耳にぴたりと沿うような構造で、着け心地も快適です。

年代は1970年代後半から80年代初頭と推定され、アール・デコのリバイバルが感じられる時代背景を反映した一点。パールとゴールドという王道の組み合わせながら、そのフォルムが甘さをほどよく引き締め、ほどよくモードな印象に仕上がっています。

買い付けは、緑の多い郊外のサバーブにあるコレクター向けチャーチショップにて。スタッフも来店客も、ほとんどが年配の女性たち。シルバージュエリーやヴィンテージの食器、バッグ、オブジェなどが所狭しと並び、その中のひとつのショーケースで、このイヤリングと出会いました。時代を同じくするハンドバッグや髪飾りのそばに飾られていて、最初はクラシカルな印象でしたが、そのフォルムの抽象性に惹かれて、これは絶対に連れて帰りたいと感じた一点です。

カシミヤニットや白シャツにはもちろん、Tシャツやデニムなどのカジュアルな装いにも。いつものスタイルに、ほんの少しの“クラシックなひねり”を添えてくれるジュエリーです。

These pearls are suspended from richly toned vintage gold metal tops, whose abstract curves and gentle ridges evoke the spirit of Art Deco design. What truly sets them apart is the carefully designed construction of the earring tops. They were discovered at a collector-focused church shop nestled in a quiet, green-lined suburb. The shop is something of a treasure chest, visited mostly by elderly ladies and curated by staff who are passionate about vintage objects. One particular staff member—now in her seventies and a lifelong collector of costume jewellery—always shares restoration tips with me. On this visit, the earrings stood out from a holder near a display of period handbags and hair accessories. While many vintage pearl earrings lean overtly romantic, this pair’s abstract, Deco-inspired form tempers the sweetness of the pearls with a chic edge. I knew immediately they had to come with me.

Wear them with a soft cashmere sweater or a crisp white shirt, or even elevate a denim look—they’re classic enough for every day, but unique enough to be noticed.

昨年からはオーストラリア北部の街で過ごす時間が長くなり、これまであまり馴染みのなかったこの地域のマーケットを巡るようになりました。まるで探検のようでもあり、フィールドワークのようでもあり・・。次々と新しい出会いに恵まれ、驚くほどの速さで発見が積み重なっていった日々でした。

早朝の澄んだ空気のなかで開かれるもの、森に囲まれた小さなもの、にぎわいの中にぽつんと現れる静かなヴィンテージの屋台——何度も足を運ぶうちに、どの場所にどんな出会いがあるのか、少しずつ肌で感じられるようになってきました。

そんな日々のなかで見つけたものたちを、ようやくみなさまにご紹介できる機会が整いました。

ここ１ヶ月は、いつものようにマーケットを巡りながら、その様子をこのInstagramのストーリーズやライブ配信、投稿、リール動画を通して、少しずつお届けしてきました。見つけたアイテムだけでなく、その背景や空気感、どんなふうに惹かれて手に取ったのかまで、なるべく丁寧にお伝えしようとつとめてまいりました。

仕入れた品はひとつひとつ手で磨き、整えながら、その過程や、スタイリングの提案、そして個人的に特に心に残ったお気に入りのご紹介などもさせていただきました。そして、この1か月の記録の集大成として6月に見つけたアイテムが、ささやかな物語とともに並びます。どのようにして、ひとつのジュエリーが"誰かの宝物"になっていくのか——その過程そのものを、みなさまと分かち合えたら嬉しいです。

Since last year, I’ve been spending more time a northern part of Australia—an area I hadn’t been very familiar with before. I began visiting local markets there, and the experience has felt part exploration, part fieldwork. One discovery led to another, and before I knew it, the days became a whirlwind of encounters and inspiration.

Some markets open in the crisp stillness of early morning, others are tucked away in forested corners, while quiet vintage stalls appear almost like a mirage amidst the bustle. With each visit, I started to get a sense—almost instinctively—of what kinds of treasures might be found in each place.

And now, I finally have the chance to share some of those finds with you.

Over the past month, I’ve continued my usual market visits while slowly documenting the journey through Instagram Stories, livestreams, posts, and reels. I’ve tried to share not just the items themselves, but the atmosphere behind them—the feeling of the moment I was drawn to each piece, and the story it carried.

Each item I sourced has been polished by hand and thoughtfully prepared. Along the way, I’ve also shared styling ideas and personal favourites that left a particular impression on me. And now, as a culmination of these weeks of exploration, the pieces I found in June are ready—presented here with their quiet stories. I hope to share not just the jewellery, but the very process of how a piece becomes someone’s treasure.
