このブレスレットを見つけたのは、郊外の緑豊かなチャーチの敷地内に佇む、コレクターズアイテムを専門に扱う小さなショップ。道路も歩道も広く、穏やかな空気が流れるその場所には、いつ訪れてもおばあさまたちの笑い声と、静かに磨きこまれたショーケースの列が広がっています。シルバージュエリーやコスチュームジュエリー、古い書籍や花瓶、ハンドバッグに囲まれながら、70代のスタッフのSさんが、楽しそうにヴィンテージ話を聞かせてくれるのが、いつもの愉しみです。

このブレスレットも、当時の手袋や髪飾り、バッグとともに並べられていたもののひとつ。くすんだ葡萄色のガラスビーズが美しい曲線を描く様子に心惹かれ、この機会にぜひご紹介したいと思いました。

A delicate vintage bracelet adorned with dusky grape and soft lavender glass beads, interspersed with tiny floral metal charms. Each bead is finely cut to reflect light from different angles, lending a gentle radiance that dances subtly along the wrist.

The bracelet’s classical design evokes the refined elegance of Edwardian and Victorian jewellery. The softly aged tone of the vintage gold metal adds a quiet depth, characteristic of pieces that have gracefully stood the test of time. Lightweight and graceful to wear, it makes an effortlessly poetic addition to everyday styling.

We discovered this piece in a charming collector’s shop tucked away in a leafy suburban church setting, where the roads and walkways are wide and the air carries a certain calm. Inside, a row of glass showcases gleams with silver jewellery, costume gems, vintage dishware, handbags, books, belts, vases, and curiosities—mostly tended to by elderly women with an eye for treasures. One staff member in particular, S-san, a woman in her seventies with a lifelong love of vintage jewellery, always welcomes us warmly and shares little care tips and stories from decades of collecting.

This bracelet was displayed inside a vintage jewellery box, nestled among gloves, handbags, and hair accessories from the same era. The way the dusky grape beads curved in graceful rhythm caught our eye—and we knew it was a piece worth curating for this collection.

昨年からはオーストラリア北部の街で過ごす時間が長くなり、これまであまり馴染みのなかったこの地域のマーケットを巡るようになりました。まるで探検のようでもあり、フィールドワークのようでもあり・・。次々と新しい出会いに恵まれ、驚くほどの速さで発見が積み重なっていった日々でした。

早朝の澄んだ空気のなかで開かれるもの、森に囲まれた小さなもの、にぎわいの中にぽつんと現れる静かなヴィンテージの屋台——何度も足を運ぶうちに、どの場所にどんな出会いがあるのか、少しずつ肌で感じられるようになってきました。

そんな日々のなかで見つけたものたちを、ようやくみなさまにご紹介できる機会が整いました。

ここ１ヶ月は、いつものようにマーケットを巡りながら、その様子をこのInstagramのストーリーズやライブ配信、投稿、リール動画を通して、少しずつお届けしてきました。見つけたアイテムだけでなく、その背景や空気感、どんなふうに惹かれて手に取ったのかまで、なるべく丁寧にお伝えしようとつとめてまいりました。

仕入れた品はひとつひとつ手で磨き、整えながら、その過程や、スタイリングの提案、そして個人的に特に心に残ったお気に入りのご紹介などもさせていただきました。そして、この1か月の記録の集大成として6月に見つけたアイテムが、ささやかな物語とともに並びます。どのようにして、ひとつのジュエリーが"誰かの宝物"になっていくのか——その過程そのものを、みなさまと分かち合えたら嬉しいです。

Since last year, I’ve been spending more time a northern part of Australia—an area I hadn’t been very familiar with before. I began visiting local markets there, and the experience has felt part exploration, part fieldwork. One discovery led to another, and before I knew it, the days became a whirlwind of encounters and inspiration.

Some markets open in the crisp stillness of early morning, others are tucked away in forested corners, while quiet vintage stalls appear almost like a mirage amidst the bustle. With each visit, I started to get a sense—almost instinctively—of what kinds of treasures might be found in each place.

And now, I finally have the chance to share some of those finds with you.

Over the past month, I’ve continued my usual market visits while slowly documenting the journey through Instagram Stories, livestreams, posts, and reels. I’ve tried to share not just the items themselves, but the atmosphere behind them—the feeling of the moment I was drawn to each piece, and the story it carried.

Each item I sourced has been polished by hand and thoughtfully prepared. Along the way, I’ve also shared styling ideas and personal favourites that left a particular impression on me. And now, as a culmination of these weeks of exploration, the pieces I found in June are ready—presented here with their quiet stories. I hope to share not just the jewellery, but the very process of how a piece becomes someone’s treasure.
